Monta Rosa skyline tour.

This last week I have been working for KE on their Monte Rosa Trip.  It has been a real pleasure to work alongside my mentor through the Guides scheme, Steve Hartland.  Between us we had four clients for the week, Lesley and Richard, and Callum and Jim (Callum and Jim are seen left with me on the summit of Pullux).

The weather has been the most settled of the sumemr so far, with each day warmer than the last, with no thunderstorms in the evening either.

The mountains around Monta Rosa are simply stunning.  Enough to take the breath away from a seasoned alpinist let alone Callum on his very first trip to the European Alps!  The routes were in good condition and the alpine flowers were out in full force on the walk into the Monta Rosa hut.  This route has changed considerably over the years and as the glacier recedes ladders and bridges are continually being adjusted in place.

Below is a taste of the wonderfull flowers en-route to the Monta Rosa hut.
